Ministerial Alliance
Relationships are the fertile soil out of which healthy communities can grow. Far too often pastors and faith communities live in isolation. We may believe in one God above all and through all, but we find it hard to devote the energy or time necessary to reach out our hands together in common service. We have a variety of faith communities in Wyandotte County who are doing incredible works not only in their congregations, but in their surrounding neighborhoods as well. Imagine what could happen if even just a few of us reached out across the divide and formed an alliance. Think of what could happen if we worked together to address the most pressing issues of our community.
This is precisely what the Faith Community Council (FCC) hopes will happen. We envision pastors uniting together, building relationships and forming a ministerial alliance that could change our community for the better. We plan to lay the groundwork for this alliance using the United Way's tried and proven Study Circles process.
Our goal is to begin this vital process this summer . We truly hope you will join us in making this partnership a success. Please call or e-mail Wendell Maddox or Adam MacDonald if you are interested.
Dates are pending, but the first Circle will take place within the next couple of months! Let's till the soil and sow the seeds for a strong healthy community. Together we can build a meaningful, enduring ministerial alliance among the pastors in Wyandotte County.
In Partnership,
Rev. G.A. Kemper & Rev. Rev. Rick Behrens
